This elective was a great first elective. The first 2 weeks we shadowed residents (the fourth year students saw patients from the start) and by the last two we were seeing patients and doing a few procedures. All of the residents and attendings are really nice and willing to teach. A typical week was MWF 8-5, TTh 7:45-5. We also had lectures scheduled from 5-6 on about 9 days. Overall this was a low stress rotation that will definitely be helpful for primary care as you get to see many common complaints (eczema, acne, seborrheic keratoses) and also some syndromes that you thought you'd only read about (histiocytosis X, junctional epidermolysis bullosa). Let me know if you have any questions. –Amy

Great rotation- good hours, really laid-back residents and attendings and you'll do tons of procedures
