this is about the ft. gordon ddeamc rotation (dwight d eisenhowser army medical center) there, you usually spend the am with the "sick call" doc, which is ob pts with various complaints. be ready to do pelvics, gbs, bimanuals, etc when you start. it's the army, so you'll get to do more with some docs. i spent a lot of time with dr. hoemyer, who is great (most of the attendings are). for the afternoons, you need to find a doc to work with each day. some will do ob, some gyn, some colpos, etc. what's weird is that there are no ob/gyn residents, so you'll spend a lot of time with attendings. there will be a family medicine resident that you can work with also. surgeries are tuesdays and fridays. just touch base with whoever is doing cases the next day per your calendar you get at eamc. overall, the hours are great, pretty much 7:30 to 4:30 unless you do cases.
