The details of grading of the clerkship were a little bit difficult to tease out during the orientation, and I thought it would be helpful to have the following information before starting your clerkship. There is alot of extra stuff that you have to do throughout the clerkship, and it gets a little confusing (especially if you are off-campus, as I was). If anyone has anything else to add, feel free to post below. Hope it helps!

Grading of the Clerkship
• Subjective (60%) – grades from your attendings
• Objective (35%)

The 20 clinical cases on webct are different from the CLIPP cases. 2 of these will be essays on the midterm. Here are the answers to the 20 cases. These are complements of students in the 4th year class that were passed along. I, along with some others, organized/edited the answers. Enjoy!

Midterm exam tips
• Some questions will be from lectures given at MCG. Therefore if you are off campus, make sure that you watch the lectures!! Dr. Leggio states that they are optional, but now you know otherwise!
• Read the adolescent handbook given during orientation, even if off campus.
• The rest you will have to get from a decent review book. Blueprints and First Aid are both pretty good.

Here is a chart that I made to help calculate dosages in Pediatrics. FYI, most pediatric drugs must be calculated by weight.
