This was sent out in an email to the class.
This note is to let everyone know that ANM 5001 "senior elective in anatomy" that normally takes place in April each year is no longer being offered. It has been replaced with a four week anatomy elective called ANM 5004 that is open for both juniors and seniors during the months of August through December. Participation in ANM 5004 is limited to four students per month. The reason for the change is to give students a broader anatomy review with more anatomical material than was available in the prior elective. In addition to being a great anatomy review, the elective has an education component because students participating in the elective serve as teaching assistants and mentors for freshman medical students who are taking gross anatomy. This elective is a wonderful opportunity to review anatomy, hone leadership skills, and acquire educational administrative skills. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Carol Nichols at canichols@mail.mcg.edu or 721-2569.
Carol A. Nichols, Ph. D. Assistant Professor Dept. of Cell Biology and Anatomy Medical College of Georgia (706) 721-2569
