Waynesboro is great for OB/gyn you get more OB than gyn in general. I had 30 deliveries with a fair amount of both vaginal and c-section in the 6 weeks I was there. He does his own ultrasounds so thats awesome you get to do them and will be amazed at how competent you are at the end. ( I could even detect gender with reasonable accuracy! More easily said than done...) Youre first assist on all surgeries which was awesome. He does really care about you learning so he will have you read quite a few things but he gives you time throughout the day to do this so that you can have some you time at home. work day generally 7a-5p + a 40 minute commute. Seems to be the general consensus that you get a 90ish at the end and your shelf determines your overall grade. Great rotation. I knew I wanted to declare ob/gyn and felt like it gave a great example of what a "day in the life" is really like vs. academic centers.
